Do you want to join a supportive atmosphere that will allow you to develop both personally and professionally in an innovative environment? Our client based in San Antonio, TX is currently hiring a Software Developer to join their team.
RESPONSIBILITIES:- The Software Developer will focus on application development and support for both Windows and Web-based applications. This includes any technical activities associated with meeting client expectations, coordinating and communicating across disciplines and departments with a focus on quality.
- Develop Windows and Web-based software applications using OO design principles and Test Driven Development.
- Adhere to standardized SDLC practices including source control, release planning, and implementation.
- Participate in requirement/implementation meetings with clients (internal and external) to understand the business requirements.
- Develop and maintain reports for both internal and external clients.
- Participate in design/planning sessions.
- Participate in 24/7 on-call support.
- Provide end-user, hardware and software support.
- Stay current with technology, as it applies.
- Ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the data residing on or transmitted to/from/through enterprise workstations, servers and other systems and in databases and other data repositories.
- Ensure the compliance to enterprise security policy.
- Acts as a resource to the Quality Management committee in obtaining required data.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or Computer Science from a four-year college or university with at least two years of experience developing applications using .Net technology; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience preferred in the areas of software development, reporting, web application architectures and services, and network architectures and services.
- Technical skills: C#, OOP, SQL Server 2000/2005, ASP.net, VBScript, JavaScript, XML, Test-Driven Development (TDD), NUnit, Visual Source Safe, Microsoft Office 2003 software.
PREFERRED:- Broad knowledge of a variety of technology platforms, tools and languages including: AJAX, Crystal Reports, DTS, ORM, XP Programming, SQL Server Reporting Services, System Administration, Telecommunications, Web Services. An understanding of Agile development processes.
- Microsoft certifications (MCP, MCSD, MCDBA).
