Position Summary: The FPOCF Adoptions Specialist supports the Director of Adoptions on the daily operations and oversight of adoptions activities for the subcontracted adoptions provider. The Adoptions Specialist is responsible for maintaining and tracking various items such as ICAMA, pre and post TPR staffing’s, and other staffing’s as needed. The position chairs the AARC’s in the absence of the Director of Adoptions. The Adoptions Specialist participates as needed in full disclosures and match staffing’s. This position assists in tracking and completing EMAS for the agency. 

Technical/Functional Expectations:

  1. Maintaining CBC Adoptions Administrative functions - Essential Function: This includes maintaining adoption ICAMA system, conduct case file reviews and monitor compliant and quality of adoption activities for subcontracted provider
  2. Enhanced Subsidy Documentation - Essential Function: Assists in gathering all documentation needed for enhanced subsidy rates including comprehensive placement assessments if needed and supporting documentation. Gathers and prepares all enhanced subsidy request for post adoption cases to submit to the Director of Adoptions for final approval
  3. Participates in Match staffing’s and Full Disclosure Staffing’s - Essential Function: Represents the lead agency and support subcontracted adoption provider. 
  4. Assists in Scheduling and Facilitating Staffing’s: This includes separated sibling staffing’s and pre and post-TPR staffing’s
  5. Adoption Assistance Review Committee (AARC) - Essential Function: Chairs the AARC chair for AARC meetings in the absence of the  Director of Adoptions.  
  6. Stabilization of Pre-adoptive Placements: Collaborates with case management and internal departments to assist in stabilizing a pre-adoptive placement
  7. Track and Complete EMAS applications - Essential Function: Review of monthly report and send notifications at 30, 60, and 90 days to complete the extended maintenance subsidy agreements and send to Director of Adoptions for approval
  8. Assistance with Post Adoption Services - Essential Function: Assists in handing post adoption support for families including but not limited to COLA, income verification, college tuition letters, etc when needed
  9. Facilitate Pre and Post Adoption Review Meetings - Essential Function:  Assists in facilitation of monthly pre and post adoption review meetings to identify any challenges/ barriers in the adoption finalization process and devise a plan of action through cadence of accountability.
  10. Other duties as required: Job performance requires fulfilling other incidental or related duties as assigned, assisting, and training others, and performing duties of higher rated positions from time to time for developmental purposes.

 Educational and Experience Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in human services related field required 
  2. 3 years Child welfare experience
  3. FCB Case Management Certification Required
  4. 1 year leadership experience preferred
  5. Adoption Competency Trained preferred
