We are currently taking applications/resumes for an EXPERIENCED Millwright Technicians for Connecticut and surrounding area.  Duties/Responsibilities may/may not be limited to the following:

  • Job Scope:
    • In charge of installing and maintaining equipment used in multiple industries.
    • Work includes installing, transferring, and repairing equipment and machinery.
  • Position Requirements:
    • Completion of an accredited millwright certificate program.
    • A minimum of 3 years’ experience as a millwright or similar job.
    • High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
    • Must be able to pass drug screen
    • MUST be able to provide personal PPE (Hard hat, steel toes, gloves, & safety glasses)
    • MUST have reliable transportation
  • Required skills:
    • In-depth knowledge of construction equipment and machinery.
    • Strong attention to detail with excellent mathematical skills.
    • Ability to review and interpret engineering specifications, schematics, and blueprints to determine work procedures.
    • Must be able to work well in a team environment.
    • Good communication skills.
  • Duties/Responsibilities:
    • Disassemble and reassemble equipment for repair or transportation.
    • Build the foundation for machines.
    • Construct and install equipment such as shafting, conveyors and tram rails.
    • Transfer equipment to the applicable site for maintenance to avoid contamination or safety hazards.
    • Grind and file machinery parts.
    • Supervise construction workers when using the equipment.
    • Work with a range of hand tools including measuring tools, welding and brazing equipment.
    • Determine which machines, techniques, and tools to use when moving equipment and completing jobs.
    • Mange housekeeping activities when requested.
      • Maintain the work area clean, safe and organized.
      • Assist in waste disposal and recycling activities
      • Cleanup work area and equipment after work is completed.
    • Execute daily work instructions received from Supervisor in a timely manner.
    • Work effectively to meet or exceed productivity goals while maintaining high quality standards.
      • Practice safety procedures in accordance with training and guidelines when working.
      • Comply with company policies and legal guidelines, helping to maintain a safe and orderly work environment
      • Meet quality and performance requirements as outlined by quality assurance and production standards
      • Report safety hazards, quality, and production issues to management immediately
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs
    • Must have good endurance
    • Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, squat, or kneel regularly, as well as climb stairs and ladders to complete tasks.
    • Ability to work outdoors in harsh weather conditions
      • Ability to work in varying hot and cold environments
      • Ability to work in an environment with exposures to dust, dirt and various other debris, metal and paint fumes, gases
      • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to high, precarious places and outside weather conditions
      • The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles and risk of electrical shock
  • Documents Required:

  • Pay:
    • Starting Pay: $32-38/Hr DOE
    • $110/day per diem
    • Weekly Pay
    • Pay Schedule: Monday - Sunday
  • Schedule:
    • 6 days a week, 12 hour shifts
      • 12 Hour days 
  • Duration of Job: Temp to Hire (Based on Job Experience)
