Network/Systems Engineer
Summary:
Conexess Group is aiding a financial client near Fremont, CA and their search for a Senior Network Engineer. This will be a long term contract and ideal candidates must be able to go onsite twice a week in Livermore, CA.
Required Skills:- Cisco Networking
- Cisco UCS
- NetApp Storage Migration experience
Key Responsibilities:- Deploy, maintain and troubleshoot Windows and Linux-based servers, VM environments, and network systems.
- Responsible for configuring and managing user access permissions, authentication and authorization.
- Responsible for installing new servers, workstations and maintaining software updates.
- Troubleshoot and pinpoint hardware, software, and network issues for internal and external users.
- Working knowledge of enterprise-grade network security protocols, firewall rules, and VPN systems.
- Create and maintain technical documentation for systems and processes.
- Design, develop and implement backup and disaster recovery solutions.
Requirements:- 8+ years of relevant experience in a senior systems administration role
- Advanced-level knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Linux-based servers, and VM environments
- Strong understanding of network and security principles, protocols and technologies
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to handle critical situations
- Experience with cloud-based environments like AWS or Azure is a plus
- Strong ability to work independently with minimal supervision
