Responsibilities as a Vocational Truck Technician The following statements describe the principal functions of this job and its scope of responsibility, but should not be considered an all-inclusive listing of work requirements.
Installing major modifications such as dual steering systems, roll off container systems and auto haulers.
Some chassis and drivetrain lengthening and shortening.
Four-wheel drive conversions.
Mostly working with kits and bolt-on modifications.
Lots of bending, stooping and on feet most of day.
Lifting and installing components up to 50 pounds.
What We Need from You (Our Requirements): Fleet Truck Tech:
Heavy Equipment, truck, motorcycle or automobile mechanic skills (shade-tree mechanic experience OK).
Capability to work 40+ hour weeks plus overtime.
Tools including impact wrench and drill.
Welding experience is a plus.
Be able to pass criminal background, preemployment and urinalysis drug test.
