JOB DESCRIPTION

• Participate in developing and documenting user stories, including testing estimates and validation tests.
• Develop, document, and maintain the test strategy and test scenarios.
• Partner with the developers to ensure all areas of the application are fully tested across environments
• Create, modify, and execute test cases for functional testing and report results in a clear, concise manner with appropriate test reports and QA metrics
• Optimize testing efforts by contributing to automation with some low code automation technologies
• Create, maintain and upkeep of automation test framework and libraries using low code automation tool set.
• Regularly execute automated test suites and analyze the results to identify the cause for failures
• Present appropriate results and data at the release sign offs.
• Create defects (JIRA bugs) for issues found with appropriate level of details
• Manage and triage defect backlog and ensure issues are resolved, including validation of the fix.
• Design and execute cross-system integration tests and regression tests for each release
• Engage in various Agile ceremonies for the team, document and estimate QA strategy for each story/card
• Collaborate and integrate with various dependent teams to ensure end to end test coverage for features and services
• Understand the Quality processes and best practices and contribute to reporting of proper Quality metrics
• Manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Perform manual testing as needed in a variety of applications and systems from mobile/web app, accessibility, and analytics to hardware firmware.
• Participate in analyzing Major Incidents and Emergency Change controls to identify opportunities to improve software quality test cases to reduce or eliminate those
• Review automated QA test suites which can be handed over to Reliability and NOC teams who can execute these at-will in Production environment for operational validation of systems
• Help manage appropriate test environments and testing tools. 

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance program with Agile practices
• 3+ years of experience in Automated Software Quality Assurance practices including BDD/TDD
• 2+ years of experience of Secure Development Lifecycle processes
• Experience / certification using UIPath for Functional/feature Automation
• Thorough understanding and experience using all components of UIPath – StudioPro, Orchestrator, Robots, etc.
• Experience creating and maintaining test suits using Postman for API validation
• Experience with QA for eCommerce, Point of Sale, and Software as a Service (SaaS) applications
• Experience with high-availability architectures in a large heavy-traffic environment
• Experience testing web applications developed in JavaScript, CSS, XHTML
• Experience testing of backend applications and APIs developed in .Net, Java/C# with SQL, NoSQL, ActiveMQ and caching technologies such as Hazelcast
• Experience testing for Applications with user interface implemented in Visual Basic
• Experience SQA for apps with Web UI on multiple browsers (IE, Firefox, Safari, Chrome) and operating systems (Linux, Windows, iOS)
• Nice to have hands-on experience with scripting languages such as shell scripts, Python etc.
• Nice to have good understanding of data management practices including good experience with SQL
• Experience with full life cycle software deployment, CI/CD process and Jenkins pipeline
• Nice to have experience querying Splunk for application metrics for operational behavior
• Nice to have experience with Kubernetes and container-based application deployment and operations
• Ability to work independently with an aptitude for detailed work and follow-up activities
