Description & Requirements
Under general supervision, performs all aspects of the Technical Product Manager role including product strategy development, solution analysis and design, product backlog creation and management, product roadmap development, partner alignment, and product performance analysis.
Minimum Qualifications- Minimum of 5 years working in a product management, business analyst or technical analyst role
- Minimum of 2 years experience working in an agile development environment
Preferred Qualifications- Experience creating and managing a product backlog including user story creation and refinement activities with agile teams
- Experience sourcing and analyzing data using various tools and techniques (SQL queries, reporting tools, Excel, etc.)
- Experience conceptualizing, wireframing and/or designing user experiences for business applications
- Possesses a working knowledge of the banking, payments or financial industry
- Able to manage significant and unique issues where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangibles
- Able to exercise independent judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining solutions
- Able to manage complex priorities across initiatives and meet aggressive deadlines
Essential Functions- Translates business strategy into product strategy creating epics, features, and user stories so that agile teams understand product outcome objectives
- Collaborates with product team and stakeholders to define roadmap, release plans, and Minimum Viable Product (MVP) to achieve company strategic goals
- Leads stakeholder meetings and encourages innovative ideas from agile team members and stakeholders
- Creates, maintains, prioritizes, and sequences their product backlog based on business value or ROI
- Creates user stories and acceptance criteria that are granular enough for a single sprint
- Prioritizes user stories and defects/bugs to manage a sprint’s backlog based on business value
- Reports the product status and strategic vision inside and outside of the team
- Develops product and feature documentation for the team, Customers and Partners
- Plans and carry out product and feature launches
- Acts as primary liaison with business unit partners coordinating work activities and roadmap alignment
- Uses data to analyze trends and develop product-specific reporting
- May perform application, system, and regression testing
- Works with product management team to prepare for product and industry trends
