POSITION SUMMARY:

The Software Developer in Test (SDET) is a key contributor in the development and support of microservices software projects.  This role will collaborate with other test focused developers, business/systems analysts and application developers to design and utilize best in class automated testing solutions.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Identify and develop test solutions to support Kubernetes containerized microservice applications
• Develop and maintain C# based functional automation test framework and scripts for Rest API interfaces
• Report status on coding projects, test execution, application stability, and release readiness to SCRUM team
• Perform all other duties as requested or assigned

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following education and/or experience:

• Strong C# (.Net) or Java expertise
• Skilled in building automation solutions for microservices, web and desktop applications
• Experience building restful API automation solutions using Postman/Rest sharp/Rest assured
• Advanced experience integrating code with CI/CD pipeline.
• Strong SQL language expertise
• Experience using Nunit/TestNg/Junit framework a plus
• Familiar with messaging-based platforms (e.g., Kafka) a plus
• Mortgage industry and/or Financial Services experience is a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to multitask, effectively manage time, and complete work with minimal supervision
