The Opportunity

Provides technical expertise in the development and implementation of technology solutions including; platforms, operating systems, and infrastructure tools across the enterprise. Responsible for designing and implementing scalable Cloud solutions across the enterprise that are focused on configuration management, platform automation and container solutions. Develops and implements standards in order to provide an enterprise level of support. Serves as a technical specialist to junior level engineers. Partners with infrastructure teams to provide the business with the best possible solutions. Keeps up to date on technology trends. This is a senior-level position that will report to the Director of Cloud Engineering.

The Work Itself

• Implements cloud technology solutions requested by business units
• Manages and supports a continuous integration and continuous delivery/deployment pipeline
• Engineers technology solutions supporting application environments
• Documents and publishes standards for infrastructure technology
• Establishes patterns and new design standards for infrastructure teams
• Reviews metrics for quality control.
• Provides technical expertise and advice to programmers and other groups
• Provides setup and support for Disaster Recovery environment.
• Creates and manages scripts for Unix/Linux management.

The Skills You Bring

• 5+ years of experience preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information System, or other relevant field of study preferred
• Highly proficient with engineering solutions focused on Cloud offerings. AWS experience preferred
• Familiarity with Container platforms, Docker and Kubernetes experience preferred
• Extensive experience with AWS Infrastructure as code, either CloudFormation or Terraform preferred
• Expert knowledge of DevOps, Process Architecture, and various CI/CD tooling including test automation, code quality, security scanning, build tools, package managers such as Helm, and release orchestration tools.

In depth technical knowledge with the following specific technologies:

• Scripting languages - Bash, Python, Groovy
• Infrastructure as Code - Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible
• Public cloud infrastructure - AWS

Preferred experience with:

• Container management - Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift, Helm
• CI/CD tooling experience - GitLab, Jenkins
• Experience in security and code quality tooling is a plus, for example CheckMarx, Nexus Lifecycle, SonarQube, Gemnasium, Snyk, etc.
• Experience with repository managers with preference for Nexus, Quay
• Experience in test automation tooling
• Experience in observability and business intelligence, both custom solutions and tools like Power BI
