Career Evolutions is searching for a Senior Financial Analyst for a fast-growing technology company headquartered in Phoenix, AZ. Full-time, direct-hire opportunity with compensation up to $75,000.
Job Title: Senior Financial Analyst
Job Summary: You will develop, interpret and implement financial concepts for financial planning and control. You will perform technical analysis to determine present and future financial performance. You will gather, analyze, prepare and summarize recommendations for financial plans, trended future requirements and operating forecasts. You will provide financial analysis and advice to management in accounting, Corporate investments, cost analysis, product pricing, and financial/tax reporting. You will create reports and summaries on a quarterly or regular basis as required by Corporate procedure or regulatory statute.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and develop annual departmental operating plan and quarterly departmental forecast (expense, headcount and capital).
Support the spending control function by reviewing and approving purchase requests and analyzing monthly spending to explain variances to plan, forecasts and prior year.
Serve as liaison between Finance and functional managers/directors.
Provide support and analysis in preparation of executive-level briefings.
Provide ad hoc analysis as requested by management in support of business driven projects.
Prepare detailed analyses in support of customer, product line, and industry reporting, which includes reconciling subledger systems to financial statements.
Prepare complex business measurement analyses such as customer and product line profitability, business segment contributions, service attach rates.
Prepare market industry benchmark analyses such as migrations, new systems and seats.
Coordinate cross functional meetings to support revenue recognition process. Proactively communicate potential areas of risk for revenue recognition.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in in Accounting/Finance
CPA/MBA preferred
8 + years of experience in a financial analyst role
Experience with Hyperion, Netsuite and Salesforce highly desirable
Experience running SQL queries
Advanced Excel skills (V-lookup, H-lookup)
Specialist with advanced skills in understanding business processes to proactively meet changing requirements and improve performance
Strong analytical skills while maintaining data integrity and a sharp focus on details
Ability to communicate complex information in clear and concise format
Specialized skill in extracting data from data warehouse and reconciling
Ability to apply advanced principles, theories, and concepts and contribute to the development of innovative principles and ideas
Capability to work on extremely complex problems where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangible variables
Ability to provide solutions that are highly creative and to exercise independent judgment in developing methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results
