Minimum Requirements:

  • 3+ years of hardware and/or software project support experience
  • Expertise and experience with hardware integration into production systems for some of the following:
    • Printers
    • Mobile Devices
    • Kiosk
    • Thin Client
  • Experience in Windows or other operating system support within production environments
  • Takes pride in accuracy and timeliness of work while appreciating feedback, discussion, and iteration
  • Possess a positive, progressive attitude with willingness to learn new technology
  • Ability to travel 5%
     

Nice to have:

  • Experience with POS and/or retail systems
     

Job Description:
The Analyst - Retail Hardware Integration works within the Global IT Store Ops group and cross-functionally with other groups that both create and leverage retail technology.  They have responsibility or involvement in all phases of hardware lifecycle involved in Point of Sale and other core store functions.  This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Execute discovery activities for new hardware implementations or existing hardware integrations
  • Research and vet implications around lifecycle, support, and maintenance of hardware solutions
  • Produce post-research demos, trials, and proof of concepts for peer IT groups
  • Document technical requirements and technical constraints of potential new technologies
  • Provide technical expertise and/or training for existing or newly implemented hardware to QA, Ops, and Support teams
  • Partner with Operations, Support, and QA groups to ensure consideration of existing processes for new initiatives
  • Participate in continuous improvement frameworks for store technologies
  • Assist in the integration of Internationally required hardware into POS systems
  • Engage 3rd party vendors as needed
  • Escalate product issues to management teams and/or project teams for prioritization
