Career Evolutions is looking for a Staff Accountant for a global hospitality company in Scottsdale, AZ. Contract position with the possibility to get extended or turn into a permanent position. Pay is up to $26/hour.
Job Title: Staff Accountant
Job Summary: You will research and prepare entries to post cash transactions for various corporate bank accounts. You will interact with various departments such as Finance/Treasury, Corporate Accounts Payable and Receivable to deliver accounting services and drive a service delivery culture focused on customer-centric process excellence.
Responsibilities:
Research and post incoming and outgoing payments to the general ledger
Monitor cash clearing accounts monthly to ensure balances are cleared and are at $0 at the end of the month
Post approved journal entries received from various department as requested
Prepare account reconciliations for assigned accounts on a monthly basis
Prepare monthly journal entries for prepaid assets
Prepare various financial reporting schedules utilized in the Company's external reporting, assist team various ad hoc projects and accounting
Support external and internal auditors with various requests
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree
2+ years of progressive experience in various corporate accounting/finance roles in the hospitality industry
