Career Evolutions is looking for a HR Generalist for a financial company in Chandler AZ. This is a full time role with full benefits with compensation that is DOE (depends on experience).
BASIC FUNCTION: The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for working as part of the Human Resources team to support business objectives through managing and administering a diverse range of human resource functions in accordance with GM Financial policy and external regulatory agencies. Areas of support and responsibility include recruitment, employee orientation, employee relations, leave of absence management, occupational health and safety, workers compensation, company HR policy, health and insurance benefit plans, performance management, HR record keeping and special projects as assigned. This position works closely with company human resources staff, legal and interacts with internal management, employees, and external vendor partners and governmental agencies.
JOB DUTIES:
Provide day-to-day employee relations and performance counseling to managers and department employees.
Assure fair and consistent administration of all human resources policies and practices.
Support AVP HR in the diagnosis of organizational problems and develop and implement solutions
Administration and implementation of communications programs to increase employee engagement and morale
Implement programs related to human resources and employee relations as directed by the AVP HR
Deliver training and development to managers and supervisors on policy, practices, and leadership skills
Coordinate the processing of unemployment claims and hearings
Provides support and coaching to HR manager in all people planning related processes
Supports the recruitment process including onboarding new hires
Work with customers and placement agency to place temporary workers and or contractors
Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment
Implements local policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Corporate Ethics and Compliance procedures
Monitors and supports the Performance Management Process
Maintains accurate employee investigation records and reports
Conducts employee relations counseling and exit interviews
Assists in developing policies
Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge
Knowledge of state and federal employment laws regarding employment practices, including, but not limited to, EEOC Compliance and Title VII, Recruiting Selection, FLSA, ADA and FMLA and ability to apply this knowledge to specific situations.
Must have knowledge to properly conduct and document internal investigations, corrective actions and verbal summaries.

Experience
3-5 years experience or post- secondary education in the Human Resources or related field or a combination of both experience and/or education.
High school diploma required.
Professional in Human Resources Certification (or working toward) or other accredited certification relevant to the field of Human Resources a plus.
