Career Evolutions is searching for a Billing Manager for an online payment solutions company in Tempe, AZ. Full-time, direct-hire opportunity with compensation up to $70K.
 
Job Title: Billing Manager
Reports to: Accounting Manager
 
Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Billing and Collections departments.
  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the Billing Department to maximize revenue and cash flow by managing all aspects of the revenue cycle while ensuring adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Analyze large volumes of data and provide financial analysis and trends to Senior Leadership.
  • Guide, direct, monitor and assist with the efforts of the Collections Department.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for designated areas, evaluate new systems and methods, and recommend changes as necessary.
  • Oversee the hiring, training and supervision of department personnel.
  • Be able to consistently meet deadlines given by Management and Senior Leadership.
  • Research and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX).
  • Accomplish billing objectives by billing, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; adhering to policies and procedures.
  • Ensure billings are completed in an accurate, timely and efficient manner.
  • Develop and manage processes to ensure completeness of contracts in the recurring contract sub ledger.
  • Drive process improvements and identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • Consistently communicate with sales representatives, sales operations, customer service, and customers as necessary to complete job duties.
  • Ensure the strict confidentiality and privacy of financial records as they relate to the organization and its customers.
  • Ensure sub ledger to ledger reconciliation.
  • Assist in other duties as needed and directed.
  • Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
  • Experience working with large ERP systems , Great Plains preferred
  • Experience with Salesforce.com
  • Experience supervising accounting staff  and supervisors
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to give and receive constructive feedback and the ability to interact and partner with people at all levels and locations
  • Able to meet deadlines, quotas, deal with time sensitive situations, prioritize and handle multiple tasks
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, hands-on environment
  • Ability to plan and organize with great attention to detail
  • Self-directed individual with strong motivation and willingness to take initiative
  • Flexible, team oriented, and willing to learn
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
