Job Title: Senior QA Java Automation Engineer
Job Summary: You are an experienced QA Java Automation Engineer with expertise in building automation tests and comprehensive test plans for products and tools. You are a client-focused, self-motivated professional that loves to work on products with explosive growth!
You will be part of a team of Software Engineers & Web Developers & Production Engineers and directly impact new and existing clients worldwide and see live results on a daily basis! Responsibilities:
Contribute to the design and building of an automation test framework for a complex, highly customizable website analysis engine.
Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases by collaborating with architects, developers and project managers.
Design, build and maintain automated tests and test suites for new features as well as existing functionality in browser, command-line and API-based applications.
Create and manage test data for use by automation test scripts.
Perform manual testing according to test plans.
Identify, record, thoroughly document and track defects.
Augment automated regression test scripts when defects are resolved.
Provide feedback and recommendations to project management on software usability and functionality.
Help define QA strategies and processes.
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science
8-10 years’ experience writing and implementing QA test plans and test cases
5-7 years’ experience developing automation test scripts on transactional web applications and sites
Strong knowledge of, and experience with, software development processes and techniques
Proficient at programming in Java
Proficient at working with a wide range of web markup languages such as HTML, CSS, XML and JSON
Experience with version control systems, such as SVN
Experience with Selenium, TestNG, Maven, Jira, Apache
Experience working in a Linux environment
Experience with automation frameworks such as Jenkins and TeamCity a plus
Keen attention to detail and ability to multi-task
Ability to think and learn quickly and be a self-starter
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and quality driven
