BI Business Analyst

Description

Our client is looking for a Business Analyst to join their BI team. This position is a FT/Perm position in Denver CO.

Responsibilities:

Support the organization’s BI initiatives
Gather and analyze requirements for BI-related projects
Define and validate BI requests for business
Prioritize business requirements, schedule tasks, and communicate progress in a timely manner
Manage stakeholder communications, status, and expectations for BI delivery; Coordinate with business stakeholders on all facets of BI activity
Provide business rules, data definitions and logic
Collaborate with IT on projects on BI
Facilitate QA and UAT activities with business and BI Delivery teams
Conduct review and solicit feedback of key metrics and KPI with business stakeholders
Ensure quality delivery of BI deliverables
Research information and identify new opportunities within Business Analytics

Skills:

Minimum of 5 years of experience working as a Business Analyst on BI-related projects
Ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements
Experience working with BI projects and implementations (Cognos, TM1, OBIEE, Qlikview, etc.)
Strong SQL Skills
Working knowledge with relational databases (Oracle, Teradata, MS SQL, etc.)
Able to analyze source data-- strengths / weaknesses / semantics / formats
Data Governance knowledge, a huge plus
Working knowledge with MS Office suite
BA/BS in Computer Science/Management Information Systems or equivalent business degree or strong work experience
Masters Degree / MBA preferred
