Summary

The Professional Services team has an opening for an experienced client facing Analytics Solutions Architect to assist clients with their analytics needs: building analytics based solutions embedding analytics into existing products, and scaling clients’ analytics needs.

Primary Responsibilities

The Analytics Solutions Architect is responsible for the technical requirements, design, and delivery of simple to large-scale solution architectures, and complex multi-tiered analytical-focused solutions.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned professional with deep and broad experience in the IT, software, and consulting space who enjoys a very dynamic work experience with bleeding edge high performance technologies. Must thrive in the Start Up mindset where charting new territory is the norm.  Problem solving, learning in the field, translating technical concepts for the business user, and leadership are critical to this position. Travel: Up to 50%

The role has four core functions:

1. Pre-sales support of Sales and SE team to promote and contribute to customer proposals
2. Lead the development of technical architecture, requirements, and design and takes accountability of technical validity of the customer solution including installation and integration
3. Act as co-lead with Project Manager for project team providing leadership, direction, coaching, technical assignments, and execution of the full software development lifecycle including documentation
4. Drive field developed innovation and IP back into R&D and works highly collaboratively with Technical Support, Sales, and Training
5. Support onsite client project delivery
6. Assist with RFI/RFP technical responses.
7. Support R User Groups as requested.

A typical project team consists of a Project Manager, Solutions Architect, Data Scientist and/or R consultant.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required;  Master’s and Ph.D. preferred with emphasis in the following: Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering or Econometrics
• 5+ years of relevant Industry Experience
• Experience with R and SAS/SPSS/Matlab
• Experience working in Windows and Linux environments
• Working knowledge of multivariate regression, time series models, cluster analysis, logistic regression, factor analysis and neural network models
• Experience and familiarity with business intelligence and data warehouse design including ETL processes and tools
• Strong facilitation and communication skills
• Ability to travel as required

Preferences

• Experience working with clusters/grids preferred (e.g., Hadoop, Microsoft HPC Server, and/or Linux cluster job schedulers)
• Working knowledge of Pig, Hive, HBase or other NoSQL tools
• Experience working with Data Warehouse tools such as Teradata and IBM Pure Data for Analytics/Netezza
• Ideal candidate will have consulting experience
