Job Title: Software QA Engineer
Job Summary: You will be part of the development team and be responsible for creating test plans and test cases, contributing to and maintaining a repository of regression test cases, and for participating in the requirements and design phase to ensure comprehensive test coverage. You will plan and prioritize test efforts and resolution of defects based on tradeoff between severity of defect and change impact to committed release and delivery dates, contribute towards continuous integration build environment, release management, initiatives to automate testing and reduce test cycles and overall time to market, and to a repository of performance /stress test cases.
You will be a contributing member of a cross-functional team in charge of delivering new features and capabilities on an iterative basis, an active participant of a team including risk management, planning and scoping of projects, as well as open to learning new technologies and new problem domains.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science
3+ years of experience in a QA or Software Development role preferably in the digital marketing industry
Excellent knowledge of software quality categories, metrics, and systems (Windows, Linux, Solaris)
Demonstrated QA research, ability to research and identify test requirements, and define test plans for all aspects of software testing including functional, integration, performance, stress, and scalability testing
Demonstrated knowledge and skills using multiple scripting languages that are commonly used in test script automation
Demonstrated proficiency with QA concepts, issues, methods, and tools and will demonstrate a detailed understanding of the software testing methods and software development processes used by the organization
Excellent ability to define test cases and scripts based on documented testing requirements and test plans, prepare reports and analyses on tests and test results, and thorough knowledge of software testing issues, methods, metrics, and resources
Experience using CI tools such as TeamCity is a plus
Exceptional focus on detail, passionate and obsessive about quality, and thrive in a fast paced performance oriented environment
