Job Title: VP Finance
Job Description: You will work with the CEO and the executive team to define and lead the execution of short-term and long-term goals. You will help to drive the growth of the business through leadership, strategic planning, and financial forecasting and analysis. You will be responsible for all financial operations of the organization including preparation of annual plans and budgets, rolling forecasts and financial plans, third party relationships, etc.
Duties include management of all aspects of Accounting (GL, AP, AR, Payroll), Treasury, Internal Controls & Audits, Financial Reporting, and Contract Negotiations. In addition, you will be managing all monthly closing activities, including the preparation of GAAP-based and management financial reports along with financial analysis and proformas in support of business initiatives.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, MBA preferred
Previous CPA firm (Big Four) desirable
7+ years of accounting and finance experience, preferably in the education industry
Previous experience working in a high-growth business
Previous experience working with a private equity firm a plus
Hands-on experience preparing financial statements, forecasts, budgets and financial reports
Experience building and managing an accounting/finance department
Experience implementing program profitability reviews, dashboards and internal controls
Excellent leadership skills in creating analytical tools, as well as key ratios and metrics
