POSITION SUMMARY
Handle incoming and outbound patient calls in order to schedule orders, check the status of orders, answer general questions and address patient concerns. Perform periodic assessment of patients' knowledge of disease state and therapy status.

Essential Functions Statement(s)
  • Handle incoming and outgoing calls and adheres to acceptable talk times.
  • Perform periodic assessment of patients' knowledge of disease state and therapy status.
  • Triage calls to other departments as needed.
  • Ensure daily completion of Infusion customer service emails.
  • Assist with meeting daily call objectives.
  • Follow established procedures properly to escalate calls as necessary.
  • Follow all regulations, including HIPAA and Corporate Compliance policies.
  • Process all required follow-up according to established procedures.
  • Take personal initiative for technical and professional development.
  • Demonstrate the behavioral and technical competencies necessary to complete job responsibilities effectively.
  • Follow the Company's HR policies, Code of Conduct and all department policies and procedures, including protecting confidential company, employee and customer information, attending work punctually and regularly and following good safety practices in all activities.

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education:  High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).

 
Experience:  One (1) to two (2) years related experience.
Computer Skills:  Strong level of software proficiency in using PC software to support activities, especially Microsoft Office products.
 
Certificates & Licenses:  Incumbent must hold one of the following qualifications, Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA) or Certified Pharmacy Technician (PTCB), or possess a Bachelor's degree in a healthcare or business concentration in the absence of either certification.
 
Other Requirements:  At least one (1) year of experience as an infusion Pharmacy Technician, working with medical or pharmacy insurance or in an administrative capacity at a hospital or clinic required. Prior experience with Durable Medical supplies, Medicare/Medicaid claims or home infusion services required. At least one (1) year of call center customer service experience strongly desired. Must have scheduling flexibility and be able to work overtime as business needs dictate.
