We are searching for an Aerodynamic Lead Engineer for our O&G client.
Role Summary/Purpose:
- The Aerodynamic Lead Engineer is responsible for all aerodynamic design activities related to centrifugal compressors and radial turbine developments including cycle modeling, thermodynamic selection, 1D sizing, 2D and 3D detailed design.
Essential Responsibilities:- The Aerodynamic Lead Engineer will:
- Lead and perform the aerodynamic design of centrifugal compressor and radial turbine components, in the framework of NPI programs.
- Support Requisition team in analysis related to thermodynamic performance validation and root cause analysis.
- Participate to new aero tools testing and validation.
- Work in close contact with mechanical and manufacturing teams to determine best configurations and trade-off for new products.
- Document technical data generated by the assigned project consistent with engineering policies and procedures.
- Develop practical and innovative ways to identify and meet goals.
- Lead and execute projects with emphasis on quality and on-time delivery.
- Remain current in the state of the art of aerodynamic discipline.
Desired Characteristics:- Demonstrated project leadership experience, including successful track record of completing deliverables on schedule and under budget.
- Experience in radial turbomachinery design.
- Experience in multiphase flow CFD modeling.
- Experience in unsteady flow CFD modeling.
- Experience in cycle modeling.
- Green Belt certification.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.
- Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.
- Demonstrated leadership in advancing the state of the art in thermodynamics, aerodynamics and turbomachinery design.
- Required Skills

Master degree in Mechanical, Thermal or Aeronautical Engineering.
At least 5 additional years of experience in turbomachinery aerodynamic design or Ph.D. in Turbomachinery field.
Experience in CFD codes.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
English fluency.
EU Work Permit.
