Full-Charge Bookkeeper
Successful candidate will become part of a small team handling all facets of accounting, cash management, and operational support. Position reports to the Controller.
Responsibilities:- Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger in a timely and accurate manner.
- Assist in the preparation and review of month end financial statements.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets and projections.
- Process payroll and expense documents.
- Assist in reconciling balance sheet accounts including cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, prepaid, escrow and accrual accounts.
- Assist with Inter-company reconciliations.
- Daily review and assist in processing cash related events including AR and AP.
- Bank Reconciliations.
- Assist Controller with Year-End tax return preparation.
- Work collaboratively with all staff on finance and accounting related matters.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma is required; Associates Degree is preferred
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in full charge bookkeeping (GL, bank reconciliations, month close, AR) is required.
- Prior experience working within an engineering, architectural or project billing environment is strongly preferred
- 2+ years of experience working in an accounting/financial system such as: Deltek Vision, Yardi, Peachtree or QuickBooks.
- Motivated individual with strong analytical skills who performs with a high degree of accuracy and is attentive to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive employee issues in a highly confidential manner.
- Highly proficient with Microsoft applications, specifically Excel and Word.
