Source2, in partnership with one of the leading metal fabrication companies in the region, is currently seeking qualified candidates for available Robotic Welder positions in Charlotte, NC!
MUST have experience with Funuc, ABB, or Panasonic control knowledge. This is a long term contract position that could lead to full time permanent employment. We are currently looking tp fill second shift positions.
These welders will be loading a machine that does welding, and will be dressing up welds after the machine is finished (making sure they are cosmetically appropriate, completing a weld line if the machine missed one, grinding the weld down, etc.).
Responsibilities: Operater robotic welder work cell. Load and unload parts to and from fixtures.
- Receives instructions from supervision as to job to run.
- Powers up robotic work cell. Checks wire, shielding gas, air supply, etc. Changes wire, gas, consumables, etc. as required.
- Load and unload components in and out of fixtures.
- Inspect welds for quality and cleans welds.
- Performs manual welding during robot weld cycle, if required.
- With teach pendant or control boxes, operator will control movement or robotic arm and positioners to maintain operation.
- Operator will assist supervision during programming and set ups if required.
- Use overhead crane to move materials to and from work area.

•Pass a National Background Check
•Pass a Drug Test
•Ability to work extended hours (overtime) as needed
•Must be able to work safely following company policy/procedures on safety including properly utilizing required safety equipment
•Employee must be able to safely lift and/or move up to 70 pounds
•Positions normally require inside work however employee may be exposed to outside weather elements
