Career Evolutions is looking for a Senior iOS Developer to work on an exciting website/mobile application project. It is a 3-month contract position which allows you work remotely and hourly rate is negotiable. You will report to the VP Engineering in Las Vegas, and work with a laid-back fun engineering team of 6.
This is a brand new dating website/mobile app. The team has been working on the web product as well as the backend, and has a web service handling the logic exchanging data in JSON format. The mobile app consists of about 50 pages.
Responsibility
You will work on the iOS development and be responsible for its technical implementation. You will work with backend engineers and designers to help craft an amazing dating experience. You should know iOS inside out and able to deliver on time with excellent quality. You should have a passion for creating mobile app that delights users.
* Design and develop iOS mobile application * Participate in concept development and application design ideation * Develop and maintain unit tests * Pixel perfect translations of designs and behaviors * Work closely with project participants to define and refine requirements * Report risks and impediments to project manager * Implement notification and performance strategies to ensure applications are running lean and healthy
Requirements
You have demonstrated success in developing and deploying iOS mobile applications. You can provide clear examples of code as well as discuss any patterns or techniques used to guide your architecture. You are detail oriented and consistently meet established deadlines through organization and follow up.
* 3+ years of hands-on experience developing and shipping delightful iOS applications; preferably in the social-local space. This should be recent experience, using iOS SDK version 6.0+ * 3+ years of hands-on development experience using service/data integration technologies such as JSON (must have), REST, HTTP, XML * 5+ years in the software development industry. * Advanced skills in Objective-C development and good knowledge of the iOS SDK and XCode * Experience in deploying to the app store and setting up provisions/certification * Experience in debugging on multi-generation devices * Experience in Multi-threading and background tasks * Knowledge of iOS UX guidelines and best practices
