Description
The Business Analyst works as a liaison among stakeholders in order to elicit, analyze, communicate, and validate requirements for changes to business processes and information systems. The role is responsible for understanding and analyzing business requirements for specific business problems, translating business requirements into functional specifications, and verifying that solutions meet the requirements. This is done through research and fact-finding combined with a basic understanding of applicable business processes, systems, and industry requirements. Also recommends business priorities and advise the lines of business of options, risks, and costs. The Business Analyst participates in all phases of a project including initial project planning, functional specifications definition and documentation, process analysis, estimating and implementation. The Business Analyst will be expected to prepare comprehensive specification documents detailing the process for creating, auditing and fulfilling data requirements and serve as a point person for specific areas of expertise. Key Responsibilities:Liaison between the lines of business and the Development teamAnalyzes business requirements to understand the business needs and to determine how their applications can best functionally fulfill those needs Combine knowledge of what the business wants with knowledge of how the systems are built and used, in order to create functional designs across applications (This high level functional design is used by Business Analysts of all levels within the group as a basis for their low-level functional design) Accountable resource in providing analytical expertise based on application and process knowledge to recommend solutions that meet the business need. Creates functional specification documentation that consists of use cases, including documented workflows and business rules; screen prototypes and user and application interface designs to communicate planned system functionality. Defines and assists Development with designing technology based solutions to meet business requests within established technology frameworks. Provides estimates based on work effort and application knowledge.Responsible and accountable for leading all Analysis phase deliverables at the Program, Project or BAU levels such as; traceability matrix, requirement sign off, functional specification documentation, reviewing test scenarios to ensure complete coverage of release contents, management of change controls and integration into existing work items in flight.
Required Skills


Basic Qualifications:

•Minimum 5+ years related work experience in a Business Analyst or similar role
•Experience with large scale environments is required
•Experience with SQL is preferred
•BS degree (or equivalent work experience) in Information Technology (IT), Business or related discipline.
•3+ years in financial services, mortgage banking is preferred.
•3+ years in incentive compensation administration is preferred.
•Experience with the CallidusCloud TrueComp System is preferred
•Must be an expert in Eliciting user requirements
•Identifying and documenting user stories: user acceptance criteria/constraints
•Participating in acceptance test development and application testing
•Regularly communicating with stakeholders, both written and oral
•Working with product owners to develop business cases for strategic initiatives
•Excellent interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with all levels of the organization and geographically distributed teams including offshore.
•Demonstrated ability to work as a team player, thinking outside the box, and recommending the best solution.
•Detail oriented with strong organization skills, presentation skills, problem solving and decision making abilities.
•Skillful with scenario-based analysis and use case driven design techniques.
•Strong ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritize work efforts.
•Proficiency in Visio, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint is required
•Experience with Irise is a plus

•Advanced business application and business process knowledge
•Proficient in multiple business disciplines, functions and knowledgeable about the business' strategic direction
•Experience setting up test scenarios
•Experience providing operational support to production applications
•Experience executing system testing
•Experience/understanding of business process reengineering and business modeling concepts, business systems development and analysis
•Strong analytical skills and writing skills, to include solid experience in writing functional and technical specification
