Description
As a Branch Business Banking Area Manager, you directly manage a team of Business Bankers who are responsible for driving business sales and revenue growth in assigned branches within a given market. Business Bankers are both individual producers and the business experts for the branch team. Specific responsibilities include: •Partner effectively with the branch network and other key partners to ensure the achievement of BB performance metrics and to grow the branch P and L. Improve performance level and business-specific measures for B1 branches, especially priority branches. •Coach and develop staff members on all aspects of successful new customer acquisition, relationship management through deepening and retention of Premier clients. •Demonstrate a firm grasp of the sales management process including effective show-coaching of activities and behaviors with bankers. This includes but is not limited to time allocation and management. You must allocate coaching/visit time appropriately among new hires, under performers, and high performers. •Provide effective performance feedback and coaching to all staff members, ensuring that each receives a written interim and annual performance assessment. Each staff member should have a written development plan that highlights 2 or 3 development areas with corresponding action plan and timeframe for achievement. •Fully support and adhere to the firm's audit and compliance policies and procedures to minimize our regulatory and financial risk; including communicating and upholding the protocols for new account documentation, account remediation and all Anti-Money Laundering "know your customer" procedures.
Required Skills

•Bachelors Degree or equivalent field related to financial services preferred
•At least five years of relationship based sales experience in Financial Services coupled with a minimum of two- three years sales managerial experience or completion of related training (i.e. leadership development experience)
•Must possess extensive knowledge of small business customer needs
•Ability to achieve bottom line results through coaching, performance management, modeling behaviors, preparation and follow-up of development plans for each team member
•Excellent understanding of how different lines of businesses work together supports small businesses and how to manage integration of all delivery methods to customers
•Excellent interpersonal skills
•Superior problem solving skills
•Superior verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate at all levels within the firm
