The incumbent is responsible for providing clerical and administrative support to cemetery personnel as well as contributing to the overall effectiveness of the mission of the Riverside National Cemetery. QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

Specialized Experience: Specialized experience is defined as experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform successfully the duties of the position and that is typically in or related to the position. To be creditable, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level (GS-03). Examples would be administrative/office work experience that includes work such as gathering data, scheduling meetings, establishing and maintaining an efficient filing system, using automated data processing equipment to generate a variety of reports, and establishing priorities and meeting deadlines. This experience must be equivalent to the GS-03 level of federal service.

Physical Requirements: Work includes some walking, standing, bending, and carrying of light items such as paper and books.

Applicants must possess training and experience that clearly demonstrate they possess the following competencies. The online assessment questionnaire is based on these competencies. This training or experience must be reflected by descriptions of your experience in your resume.
•Ability to independently organize work, set priorities, and complete assignments within established time frames.
•Knowledge in utilizing standard office equipment and computer software (for example, Microsoft Word and Excel).
•Ability to communicate effectively orally to include the ability to deal tactfully with controversial or sensitive issues and situations.
•Ability to communicate in writing.
