Career Evolutions is searching for an experienced Sr Linux System Administrator for a fast-growing award-winning tracking and navigation technology company. This full-time direct-hire position is in North Scottsdale, AZ with salary up to $90,000 DOE plus an exceptional benefit package.
You will be responsible for system administration on physical and virtual Linux servers. You will support all Linux hosting environments in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. You will also interface with engineering, development and operations teams. The emphasis of your role is to grow the infrastructure and ensure it remains stable. Candidate must be local to AZ market.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
4 year college degree in technology related field or equivalent experience is required.
At least 3 years of experience with UNIX/Linux OS and concepts (processes, cron, bash, etc.) .
Experience should include installation, tuning, backup, and monitoring of systems.
Experience in working in a complex hosting operations environment.
Networking fundamentals with routers, switches, firewalls and load balancers (Cisco preferred).
Experience with Debian and Red Hat linux distros (RHEL, Fedora, CentOS).
Database experience, preferably Sybase or MS SQL Server, required.
