This company is currently seeking hands-on and product-application oriented individuals that function in an onshore and/or offshore work environment. This person will ensure proper planning and execution of post manufacturing services to our customers. The ideal candidate will have a BS degree in Engineering required, for Topside Controls: BS degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or equivalent preferred. He/she will generally have 2+ years of experience in the field and have a full understanding of theory specific to area of specialty and/or single/multiple product, including code and criteria requirements. This person will have the ability to provide product design in a single area, producing drawings and related documentation as directed, while evaluating effectiveness, safety, and economic impact of designs and develop recommendations to optimize results if required and exhibit working knowledge of interfaces within single product lines. This position requires strong computer proficiency, solid analytical and problem solving skills, accuracy and attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, recognize impact of variances to scope, cost and schedule and have strong written and verbal communication skills.
 
This person will have no direct or indirect reports but might be called upon to provide mentorship to less experienced personnel. Responsibilities include: frequent contact and interface with operation managers, product group engineering departments, onshore assembly and maintenance technicians, technical service professionals, vendors, contractors and regional engineering teams. He/she will promote strong customer relationships and have the ability to build effective relationships with peers, co-workers and customers. The scope of responsibility will be contributions to bid and proposal process, responsible for safe, high quality, high quantity and on-time delivery of assigned projects, assist in gathering training material for potential Aftermarket training courses, provide status reports on assigned projects that include project status, milestones achieved, OTD and critical project issues, develop solutions to problems by analyzing, interpreting and evaluating data, assist onshore/offshore personnel including coordinators, workshop manager and quality department on technical requests. This position has potential for occasional offsite and international travel. This person will review engineering designs and documents, generate/create rig books and all system level layout drawings between company and third party equipment. He/she will also create assembly and testing instructions, maintain the equipment list and document registry for projects, host readiness reviews for on or off-site execution of work (ORR) and host after action reviews (AAR), will having the responsibility to ensure functional locations are created for assigned projects.
 
In addition, he/she will have major accountability areas in proactively participating in HSE initiatives, START, JSAs and risk assessments, as well as, prepare and present technical data to internal customers, be familiar with and can utilize industry code, quality and customer requirements. He/she will prepare and review technical documentation related to engineering changes; ECN, DBI and engineering specifications/requirements and ensure conformance to all policies and procedures. This position will also use CAD and database systems to generate layouts, analyze designs and evaluate equipment systems. This person will have an understanding of subsea environment with respect to materials, cathodic protections, corrosion (pitting, HISC, galvanic, etc. ), calcareous deposits, marine growth and different coatings and surface treatment applications (Xylan, paint, electroless nickel, phosphating, nitriding, carburizing, etc).
 
This position will spend 50-70% of time in an office environment and/or 30-50% in shop or field environment supporting product installation, commissioning, troubleshooting and/or interventions. He/she may be exposed to possible hazards including noise, outdoor temperature extremes, chemicals, pressure testing, heavy lift operations and shop/field traffic.
