This is a full-time position with the opportunity to work in a hybrid environment in Phoenix, Arizona.

We are seeking a passionate, results-oriented Data Analyst to grow our Data Team and assist in creating a library of reports and custom data import and exports for our customers. The successful candidate will enjoy the details and feel a sense of accomplishment in identifying and mapping data fields, analyzing varying datasets and providing exceptional results to our customer-base. They will be responsible for collaborating with our engineering and services teams as well as our customers to scope and deliver best-in-class solutions to our government customers. Among other important responsibilities, they will be responsible for scoping, documenting, and creating reports, imports, and exports as well as assisting with various data related tasks including SQL requests and data migrations. The ideal candidate will have experience with Excel, SQL, and Power BI and a passion for delivering high-quality products that exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities of the Data Analyst…
  • Leads meetings with customers to define requirements for new or updates to standard reporting, data import, and data export requests.
  • Updates existing or creates new technical specifications that incorporate customer-defined requirements for standard reporting, data import, and data export requests.
  • Performs timely peer review of technical specifications for simple data import and export requests to ensure team standards are being upheld; provides feedback and mentoring to teammates on items that do not meet documented standards.
  • Uses Visual Studio/SSRS in conjunction with SQL to address simple updates and fix defects found within in-system reports that are a result of an error within the back end query, or addresses simple data-related updates or defects in existing PowerBI reports.
  • Provides troubleshooting and other support through research and understanding of standard report, data import, and data export specification documentation or available data management tools.
  • Creates test plans for validation of standard in-system report updates, data exports and bug fixes. Performs quality assurance testing; fully documents testing and provides detailed feedback on testing results.
  • Proactively manage customer engagement to ensure timely completion of work.
  • Document all pertinent information on Jira tickets in a timely and complete manner.
  • Maintenance of in-system report availability wiki documentation, including updating and adding new information as it becomes available.
  • Completes scheduled downloads in a timely manner for internal processes that require simple analysis, the use of file conversion tools, and manual manipulation of the resulting file.
  • Adhere to Data policies and procedures, ensuring timely, proactive, and high-quality processes. Handle all user data and information with the utmost confidentiality and data security.
  • Adhere to company policies and industry standards to protect sensitive information. Immediately escalate data security concerns to management.
  • Travel to corporate locations may be required one to two times per year.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
What we'd like you to bring to the table for this role…​​​
  • 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Industry Experience is a plus in the following areas: Government / SLED (state, local, and education), Diversity Management program, or Vendor Procurement process.
  • Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Access, Publisher, etc.) and/or Google suite.
  • Experience with SQL, Visual Studio (SSRS) and PowerBI.
  • Experience working with the Microsoft and/or Google suite of office products with a focus on Excel/Sheets.
  • Experience working with JIRA or other ticket management software.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, written, and verbal.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to organize.
  • Ability to follow internal team efforts to ensure that deadlines are met consistently.
  • Must be self-motivated and driven.
  • Strong ethical values and a belief in maintaining the utmost integrity in the workplace.
  • Ability to work with limited supervision and direction.
