@Orchard LLC is a sub-contractor on a recently awarded engagement within the US Navy (NAVSUP) and we have been asked to supply a Requirements Analyst to work from home with some travel monthly to Mechanicsburg, PA, and Norfolk, VA. The selected individual must be able to drive to each location as needed.

Description:
The successful candidate will play a critical role in documenting and refining user stories and functional requirements for the Navy’s Naval Operational Supply System (NOSS) enterprise system. The ideal candidate will have experience in an Agile/Scrum environment with requirements gathering, business analysis, and developing user stories, and test cases. Agile/Scrum software development experience is a must as the candidate will be expected to provide guidance and mentoring to the government and other contracting staff on Agile/Scrum best practices.  The candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to challenging and changing situations quickly while being able to facilitate the completion of multiple tasks and assignments.

As the Requirements Analyst, your work will include. 
  • Serve as a business/requirements analyst between contractor teams, stakeholders, and functional experts to achieve business reform objectives.
  • Interview supply chain process owners and stakeholders to establish business process maps, requirements, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Utilize business process analysis techniques to assist in designing more efficient supply chain business processes and requirements.
  • Lead and facilitate requirements gathering workshops.
  • Create and refine functional requirements based on existing systems or request new functionality.
  • Create and refine User Stories based on new or existing functional requirements.
  • Develop Acceptance Criteria for creating User Stories and requirements.
  • Develop and execute Test Cases against the developed User Stories and requirements.
  • Develop RTMs to track the traceability of dependencies between requirements and systems.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to produce valid and accurately written technical content for various products (e.g., briefings, narratives, and justifications). Develop and present project status and findings using Microsoft Suite tools.

Your background will include.
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 8 years of IT experience with BA/BS in a related IT field.
  • Experience with business analysis, documenting requirements, and creating use cases and test cases.
  • Demonstrated experience requirements-gathering experience in an Agile/Scrum.
  • Demonstrated experience in Agile software development.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management, leading teams conducting requirements gathering, business analysis, or Agile/Scrum development efforts.
  • Experience with MS-Project creating and managing schedules.
  • Experience using BPMN 2.0 notation and Microsoft Visio.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to lead analysis and development discussions.
Preferred experience
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain Management or Logistics
  • Knowledge of Jira and Confluence tools
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong technical process writing ability.
  • Experience using Microsoft Teams.
