The Gynecologic Oncologist responsibilities include:   gynecologic oncologic surgical care of patients along with outpatient and inpatient consultation. This physician will provide care in a clinic setting, offering state-of-the-art surgical options to patients with both malignant and benign diagnoses. The ideal candidate will be board-certified/board eligible and possess excellent clinical and surgical training.
The Gynecologic Oncologist responsibilities include but not limited to:
  • Gynecologic Oncologic surgical care of patients.  Offering state-of-the—art surgical options to patients with both malignant and benign diagnoses. 
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families and center team members.
  • Capable of handling stressful situations, making informed decisions and giving emotional support to patients and their families.
  • Performing administrative tasks, such as keeping patients notes and records updated, writing prescriptions, providing education information to patients.
  • Respond to patient and referring physician needs and concerns regarding patient’s treatment as expeditiously as possible.
  • Attend any required clinic meetings.
  • Promote cooperation and teamwork among other physicians and team members of the clinic.
  • Comply with all credentialing, quality assurance and utilization review criteria that are adopted by the Company.
  • Adhere to the company’s code of conduct and compliance program requirements.
  • Comply with all rules, regulations, policies and procedures regarding medical record documentation and coding accuracy standards, established by the Company.
  • Maintain values consistent with the profession’s code of ethics and scope of practice as well as adhering to national, company standards, policies and procedures regarding treatment delivery and patient care.
  • Participate in continuing education programs that are required to maintain clinical competency.
  • Perform any other functions as required
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
  • ABOG Board Certified / Board Eligible required
  • If Board eligible, must be willing to take the boards and successfully pass within 12 months.
  • Expertise in minimally invasive surgery required
  • Completion of ACGME accredited OB residency program
  • Completions of ACGME accredited Gyn/ONC fellowship program
  • Motivated to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with patients, technicians, fellow medical professionals and other clinic team members.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
