In this individual contributor role, you'll focus on identifying and pursuing new business opportunities in the small to mid-market segment, actively contributing to our growth, and providing impactful solutions to our clients. WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Prospecting, Lead Generation, and Consultative Client Outreach

  • Execute targeted outreach strategies through diverse channels, including email campaigns, social media, telephone, and networking, to generate client opportunities in the small to mid-market segment ($10-$75M).
  • Leverage market research and active industry networking to identify and engage potential clients, filling the sales funnel with qualified leads.
  • Drive top-of-the-funnel activities, including prospecting, qualifying, and needs analysis for prospective clients.
  • Effectively communicate the firm's value proposition, scheduling meetings with key decision-makers to understand business challenges and objectives.
  • Focus on consultative selling, conducting in-depth discussions to qualify opportunities, and ensuring seamless collaboration with practice leads or SMEs across all sales pipeline stages.
Market Research and Analysis
  • Conduct research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential clients. Analyze industry challenges and competitive landscapes to tailor effective business development strategies.
  • Stay up to date on market developments, economic indicators, and industry news to anticipate client needs and strategically position the firm.
Performance Metrics and Reporting
  • Achieve specific sales activity targets, including lead generation, outreach, appointment scheduling, proposal development, and sales quotas.
  • Maintain a dynamic sales pipeline using CRM, accurately tracking the required number of leads, opportunities, and client interactions.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on sales progress, activities, and potential risks to the leadership team.
Referral Partner Development
  • Cultivate relationships with potential referral partners in the community to enhance lead-generation efforts, exploring mutually beneficial opportunities for client introductions.
 
WHAT YOU WILL BRING:
Consultative Selling Skills
  • Ability to engage in consultative selling, understand client needs, conduct needs/analysis/discovery, and align services to address business challenges.
Business Acumen
  • Strong business acumen, a deep understanding of challenges faced by small to mid-market companies, mainly privately held by one or more founders, partnerships, or families, or the ability to acquire these skills quickly.
Communication and Relationship Building
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders.
Industry Knowledge
  • Solid understanding of the professional services industry, particularly in business management consulting, talent, and M&A advisory services, or a proven ability to quickly grasp complex industry concepts.
Sales Metrics and Quota Achievement
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales activity metrics, including reaching specific targets for outreaches, appointments, proposals generated, and successful sales quotas.
Effective Communication Skills
  • Exhibits excellent oral communication skills, including articulating ideas persuasively, engaging effectively in conversations, and presenting information clearly in client interactions.
  • Demonstrates strong written communication skills, showcasing the ability to craft clear, compelling, and professional written messages in a business context.

  • A commitment to continuous learning and adaptation to stay informed about evolving industry best practices and product knowledge.
