OVERVIEW: The Financial Assistant / Bookkeeper will provide high level administrative support to the COO and other Management staff. This position will work closely with Administration in day-to-day and accounting principles including journal entries, general ledger maintenance, financial statement preparation, bank account reconciliation and vendor contract management.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Provides high-level administrative support and assistance to the COO and/or other assigned leadership staff.

· Performs clerical and administrative tasks including drafting letters, memos, invoices, reports, and other documents.

· Journal entries related to multiple locations operations

· Vendor contract management and payables oversight

· Prepare monthly bank reconciliation

· Prepare and review balance sheet account reconciliation

· Provide support for various audits and participate in monthly review of financial statements

· Financial reporting preparation of packets for the board

· Performs additional duties as assigned by leadership.

· Performs other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of office administration, clerical procedures, and recordkeeping systems.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software with the ability to learn new or updated software.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, and TRAINING:

· Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting or related field preferred.

· At least two years of related experience required.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
