Job Summary:

The Application Architect will be a key part of a team that will evaluate the ability to recover critical business capabilities needed across multiple Line of Business. Strong inquisitive and analytical skills needed to understand how the business flow operates, the systems/services/applications that run the business and determine if the architecture is designed to meet disaster recovery requirements.

Skills required:
•Fluency/bi-lingual in Japanese - MANDATORY
• Strong communication skills with ability to lead workshops with technical client teams and drive consensus-based highly technical decisions
• Experience in high availability Cloud-native architecture and design; Experience in micro services architecture
• Extensive experience with open-source technology, software development and system engineering.
• Basic knowledge and understanding of business continuity and disaster recovery planning techniques and technologies, as well as the methods used in performing risk analysis and business impact analysis
• Formerly an application developer would be helpful in the role (more for the mindset, not the coding experience)
• Ability to drive end-to-end Technical management, assessment of application deployment and design of the environment, and gaps against requirement
• Prior experience designing and implementing large scale solutions or doing systems/data center migration is preferred
• Requires a strong working knowledge of various compute, database, replication, network, and storage options.
• Prior experience in gathering technical requirements, performing gap and technical analysis, developing technical specifications, and architecting application solutions to roll out on a large scale
• Experience can also include performing OS/DB migrations, system copies, application re-platforming, OS/DB/Network/Storage administration
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; ability to communicate with customers, associates and management on a global team; solid teamwork and interpersonal skills
• Disciplined program, project and time management skills with the proven ability to work in a cross functional, matrixed and diverse workforce environment
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects in a fast-paced environment while ensuring the security, confidentiality and integrity of sensitive data
• A self-starter, highly motivated individual with the ability to work in a collaborative team environment
