Position Summary: The Mobile Response Team Coordinator is responsible for therapeutic on call crisis stabilization intervention and crisis prevention services in the Brevard County's Child Welfare System of Care in a variety of home and out of home placements within the community. This position provides coordination and oversight of a 24 hour on call response including a team of subcontracted master’s Level clinicians in order to ensure crisis intervention is available throughout the county. This position provides immediate response for family stabilization and the prevention of removal for foster home and group home placements. This position will also provide in home preventative therapeutic support to relative and non-relative caregivers in Brevard County.

Technical/Functional Expectations:

  1. Ensure Therapeutic Crisis Response 24/7: This position provides therapeutic crisis response in the Brevard County System of care and ensures that crisis stabilization intervention and crisis prevention activities are available 24 hours a day and 365 days a year.
  2. Liaison with Intake Specialists and the Clinical Services Program Manager: This position will serve as a liaison and accept referrals from Intake Specialists and the Clinical Services Program Manager to provide supportive crisis counseling, education and support to out of home placement providers (licensed homes and relative/non-relative providers), in-home coaching, safety planning and other therapeutic support to maintain stable placements.
  3. Comprehensive Summary of Crisis Intervention: This position will provide a comprehensive summary of any crisis response provided within one business day of the response. The summary includes a crisis response summary, brief behavioral description, crisis intervention utilized and any needs or recommendations.
  4. Coordination of On Call Schedule: This position is responsible for developing and coordinating the on-call schedule of the Mobile Response Team. The Mobile Response Team Coordinator is ultimately responsible for ensuring crisis response is available 24 hours per day and 365 days a year.
  5. Leadership of Trauma Informed Care Initiative: This position provides leadership of the Trauma Informed Care initiative in order to improve outcomes for youth in the Brevard County System of Care.
  6. Other duties as required: Job performance requires fulfilling other incidental or related duties as assigned, assisting and training others, and performing duties of higher rated positions from time to time for developmental purposes.

Business Experience:

  1. Two years’ Experience Crisis Intervention: This is required in order to appropriately respond, lead, and direct the Mobile Response Team.
  2. Strength Based Family Centered Practice Orientation: This is essential in order to effectively support the System of
  3. Care and its values.
  4. Valid Driver's License - Essential: This is required in order to travel throughout the county and other locations.
  5. Three years Clinical Services 'HOLYHU\: This is required in order to effectively evaluate clinical services options and manage crisis response.
  6. Strong Interpersonal, Presentation, and Organization skills: This is required in order to effectively partner with various stakeholders and agency staff and adequately train community stakeholders.

Educational and Experience Requirements:

  1. MSW, MS or MA Counseling or Psychology required.
  2. LCSW, LMHC or LMFT preferred.
  3. 2 years related experience required.
  4. 3 to 5 years of experience preferred.
