Conexess is a full-service staffing firm offering contract, contract-to hire, and direct placements. We have a wide range of recruiting capabilities extending from help desk technicians to CIOs. We are also capable of offering project based work.Role and Responsibilities:
- Build business cases on-site with our clients to prioritize features through market research and competitive analysis
- Establishes product vision for complex and high impact products incorporating leading-edge technologies
- Lead design-thinking workshops of cross-functional teams to yield drafts for personas, current
- and future state process flows and/or journey maps, features, prioritization
- Manage and align product roadmap with customers, and client stakeholders
- Create end to end process maps for current state and facilitate the collaborative creation of a future state process
- Demand and promote insight & customer value driven innovation
- Be able to adeptly ideate and arbitrate as needed with architects, designers, developers and stakeholders
- Manage product backlog with well-groomed user stories that are easy for the engineers to estimate
- Communicate the value of the product or new features to internal and external audiences
- Recognizes and prioritizes the most important work for product teams (short-term and long-term work)
- Manage product scope, risk and timelines, diplomatically navigating trade-offs and recommending options
- Define and launch minimum viable products, adding key features/requirements incrementally
- Must have project management and/or engagement management experience for large programs
- Use a combination of technical, leadership and business expertise to lead
multiple programs - Assess client situation and define approach, structure and plan for new engagements
- Ability to talk “tech” and leverage technical knowledge (ie Java, React, firewalls, environments, etc.) to plan and ensure the solution will achieve the desired outcome
- Ensure high quality delivery and exceed customer expectations
- Proactively mitigate high impact risks to prevent them from turning into issues and support efforts to manage and resolve critical issues
- Think strategically, foster teamwork, influence, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, a high level of professionalism, the ability to multi-task, and strong attention to detail
- Ensure efforts are coordinated and consistent across remote, onsite, client, and 3rd party resources
- Drives innovation and integration of new processes and quality initiatives into projects and activities in consulting and/or overall organization.
Required Skills and Experience:
Experience:
- 10+ years of product owner or product management experience, preferably in enterprise or consumer software
- Must be experienced taking a product from concept and envisioning through to successful delivery
- Experience working with distributed teams in Agile methodology and proficient in practices with adopted mindset
- Able to work in Agile and brings PM discipline (able to identify and effectively track and mitigate risks; action items; drive a team to meet their objectives)
- Strong proven experience with leading and managing projects
- Experience mentoring other Product Owners/Business Analysts
- Experienced in formulating and implement a strategy of how project objectives can be met in the right sequence by a group of people with unique skills
- Must have project management/engagement management experience for large programs
- Experience communicating at managerial and VP levels of an organization
- Experience working in a fast paced, fluid environment where priorities shift on a regular basis
Experience communicating with and influencing functional and technical team members at all levels in the organization - Experience spearheading initiatives that span across multiple business groups
- Experience working as part of a collaborative, cross-functional, modern software design and development team
- Experience conducting user research and testing to understand needs
- Experience creating, prioritizing and accepting user stories
- Demonstrated ability to effectively manage scope risks using Agile principles
- Experience identifying goals, metrics and analytics to measure product value
- Experience conducting competitive research and analysis
- Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization
- Ability to facilitate problem resolution within all levels of an organization and across organizations
- Experience with major consulting organizations (e.g. Accenture, Deloitte, PWC, CapGemini, etc.) is preferred
Education/Certifications:
- SCRUM Certification highly preferable (Scrum Master/Product Owner)
- MBA or Technical degree preferred
