My client is seeking an experienced Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their corporate team. This position is an essential part of their senior management team. The CFO oversees the financial areas of the law firm to ensure proper financial controls exist to meet business needs. The ideal candidate is an experienced, efficient financial leader with excellent communication skills, business acumen, and exemplary work ethic.

Primary Responsibilities:

· Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct, and evaluate fiscal function and performance

· Advise on the financial impact of strategic planning, new programs, and regulatory actions

· Provide timely and accurate analysis of budgets, financial reports, and financial trends

· Use a reliable projection process and reporting mechanism

· Deliver financial guidance on potential alliances, contracts, insurance, and investments

· Serves as a trustee of the firm’s 401(k) plan

· Respectful, constructive approach to motivate, coach, and lead support staff

· Work with external CPA firm for year-end activity

· Foster a success-oriented environment supporting our mission and core values

· Represent the firm in an ethical manner with clients and business partners

· Ensure compliance with regulations and best business practices

· Collaborate with corporate and legal leaders to effectively implement long and short-term strategic plans and day-to-day operations

Primary Qualifications:

· 10+ years proven success managing financial aspects as noted above

· Experience supporting small to mid-size organizations

· Master’s Degree in finance or Juris Doctorate preferred

· Law firm financial experience preferred

· Experience managing, coaching, and leading accounting support staff

· Demonstrated involvement in strategic planning and business development

· Versed in balancing financial perspective with the needs of the entire business

· Highly developed data analysis, metrics, and reporting skills

· Experience leading through growth and change

· Excellent interpersonal skills to build and sustain positive relationships

· Sound business judgment, decision making, and problem solving in a time-sensitive environment

· CT resident within a reasonable commute.
