Career Evolutions is looking for a Senior Staff Accountant for a tech company in Scottsdale, AZ. Full-time direct-hire opportunity with compensation up to $72,000 + Benefits.
As a member of the accounting team, you will be responsible for overall coordination of general accounting functions across the company. You will also be an advocate for the processes, systems and team environment of the company and be disciplined and rigorous in meeting commitments and ensuring assigned responsibilities are completed accurately and efficiently.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for the coordination of the financial close process
Responsible for general ledger accounting functions including accrual accounting, balance sheet reconciliation, intercompany account reconciliation
Provide leadership to the accounts payable and cash disbursement process
Maintaining cash flow forecast including related trend and issue analysis
Responsible for treasury functions including cash account management and other treasury matters
Analyze financial performance versus budget and spending trends across cost centers and provide insight and make recommendations to management
Coordinate sales and use tax filings, annual state registrations, insurance renewals and other recurring statutory obligations
Manage and coordinate preparation for financial and tax audits, return preparation and reporting
Communicate regularly with executive and financial management team on business performance and financial matters
Corporate expense management and administration of system
Conducting closing reviews with senior members of financial management
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required, CPA is a plus
Hands-on experience with accounting in a multi-entity and multi-currency environment and familiarity with project accounting for a professional services firm is desired
Strong GAAP accounting and technical financial skills that include analysis and interpretation of financial and operational data, financial trends, forecasts and reports
Operational acumen and analytical abilities to analyze financial information and communicate and provide insight to functional managers from an operational perspective
Experience with financial accounting packages appropriate for mid-sized companies and comfort with other technology based financial applications is required, i.e. Intacct, Dynamics, SAGE
Excellent MS Excel proficiency and expertise is required
Proven record of improving processes to support growth, improve quality and reduce complexity
Able to work independently and manage multiple projects from inception to implementation
Self-driven and motivated team-player with excellent analytical and attention to detail skills
Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate across all levels of the organization
