Senior E-Commerce Systems Analyst

Summary:

Conexess Group is aiding a local client in their search for an experienced E-Commerce Systems Analyst. Ideal candidates will possess the ability to deliver deep analysis and understanding for the internal search domain to assist customers within product discovery on the company’s website. This person will also look at customer trends, as well as performance within internal search and capitalize by building models to enhance the customer search experience.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborates with various departments including Search Business team, Search Engineering, SEO team and other business teams to execute tools, reporting, and dashboards using online and offline data (customer feedback).
• Research and analyze internal search trends and customer behavior data to identify opportunities for internal search enhancements and build new functionalities for internal search.
• Analyzes and understands the key drivers of search performance related to the search product roadmap.
• Provide weekly reporting and tools to Management and the supporting teams.

Basic Qualifications:

•          8+ years of significant experience in ecommerce.

•          Minimum of 3 years’ experience in working in search technologies: Solr, Elastic Search or Endeca. Solr Preferred.

•          Experience working with large ecommerce websites.

•          Proficient with querying SOLR, SQL, and analytics for reporting and insights

•          Proficient with Agile software development lifecycle methodologies including a good understanding of Test-Driven Development (TDD) and/or Behavior Driven Development (BDD)

•          Experience of Retail domain will be an added advantage

Responsibilities:

•          Define, analyze, and evaluate existing business functions and processes and recommend opportunities for process improvements to management

•          Meet with business partners, project managers, and vendor partners to determine project scope and vision, set system goals, identify and resolve system issues, and lead prioritization of build items. Communicate changes, enhancements, and modifications to stakeholders so that issues and solutions are understood.

•          Lead design sessions in prototyping new systems for enhancing business processes, operations, and information process flow; document risks and identify mitigation strategies

•          Translate conceptual user requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to developers and project team, including creating process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction to the team

•          Review system design plans for reasonableness and fit within business requirements

•          Coordinate and perform configuration changes for applications in the eCommerce area.

•          Define, coordinate, and participate in the execution of test cases as part of the Quality Assurance process.

•          Provide orientation and training to end users for modifications to existing processes and new functionality
