CLIENT PROFILE: We have partnered with a recognizable and well-branded company in their search for a Senior Cost Accountant.

POSITION TITLE: Senior Cost Accountant

POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior Cost Accountant is responsible for providing detailed cost information within all US Plants’ production lines; monitoring actual performance against standard; report Plant Financial & Operational variances to management for decision-making purposes. Assist in the development of controls, procedures and systems related to cost accounting and inventory Management.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Work with Plant’s Finance & Operations Teams to provide cost analyses as appropriate and identify areas of cost improvements.
• Provide reporting of the key performance indicators for the US plants, yields; efficiency and quantify their respective financial impact. 
• Reviews manufacturing operations data to identify cost savings opportunities
• In conjunction with Plant Controllers provide new product costs and updated customer price lists in a timely manner
• Perform post launch audits of new SKU’s to insure accuracy of Pricing structure 
• Perform post launch audit of Capital projects justified by Labor or Operational improvements
• Performs margin analysis on a per SKU, per customer basis and report to management.
• Manages preparation and execution of annual standard cost roll at all US Plants
• Works within cross functional teams to ensure best use of systems, processes are utilized to educate and affect the decision-making process
• Provide analytical support to the Site Plant Management, Director of Corporate Operations Finance, ELT or other Senior Management as requested.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
• At least 4-7 years of experience 
• Working knowledge of ERP systems
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel,Word, and Financial Report Writer)
• Consumer Goods or Food Manufacturing experience required
