CLIENT PROFILE: We have partnered with a recognizable and well-branded company in their search for a Senior AR & Collections Analyst who will be responsible for day to day credit and collections activities. 

POSITION TITLE: Senior AR & Collections Analyst 

POSITION SUMMARY: The Senior AR & Collections Analyst is responsible for overseeing all day to day credit and collection activities, company-wide for several different locations in accordance with established company policies.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Prepares weekly company-wide AR Aging.
• Prepares Customer account reconciliations and Customer Statements.
• Identifying and closely monitoring high risk customers. Oversee critical and high-volume accounts.
• Makes collection calls, negotiating and securing payments on past dues
• Based on the weekly aging, collection calls and emails are to be sent to all customers with balances that are over 60 days past due.
• Accounts over 90 days past due receive a Payment Demand Letter with the promise of service interruption if payment is not received within ten business days.
• Works closely with the Billing Department to implement processes and policies that contribute to accurate invoicing.
• Turns accounts over to an outside Collections Agency after 60 days of collection efforts
• Relays to Controller and VP Finance any and all accounts that need to be written off to bad debt
• Prepares quarterly bad debt allowance reserve schedule
• Prepares documentation necessary to create the Credit Note to true up a customer account
• Records daily receipts on the collection tracker
• Releases Credit/Debit memos from credit hold
• Ensures daily receipts are posted to customer accounts
• Prepares weekly 13-week cash collections projections report
• Prepares weekly cash collections issues report for the weekly sales team call
• Prepares and analyze reporting detailing key performance metrics. Communicate recommendations to senior management on tactics to improve cash flow, days receivables outstanding, receivable aging, etc...
• Addresses ongoing customer complaints concerning billing or service rendered and works on complaints of service failures with designated departments
• Establishes credit limits for new and existing customers based on analysis of credit bureau data and financial statements
• Assists with external auditors

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
• At least 5-7 years of experience in collecting and accounting receivable 
• Working knowledge of ERP systems 
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel,Word, and Outlook)
• Manufacturing collection experience preferred
