POSITION SUMMARY

This position is responsible for the development, daily management, and future growth of Credit Card and Debit Card Services. The Card Services Manager will need to be analytical, organized, and detail-oriented. A self-starter and quick learner who can work independently and within a team environment. Communicate well with internal and external staff in an atmosphere of changing priorities, tight deadlines, and multiple projects. 

 

The Card Services Manager will support the daily reconciliation processes and fraud prevention by gathering information, performing analyses, and maintaining documentation. Interactions with cardholders and other Bank staff are handled professionally, accurately, and promptly, ensuring optimal customer service, integrity, and profitability.  This position assists in attaining established Bank operational and financial goals and compliance with all Bank policies and procedures, as well as all applicable state and federal banking regulations.

 

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the oversight and operations of MapleMark Bank’s debit card and commercial credit card programs to lead the future development of the consumer credit card. 
  • Monitor and maintain existing portfolios by ensuring product offerings are competitive, current, and meet business and client needs
  • Develop, improve, and implement department policies and procedures. 
  • Guide, manage and assist in the hiring, training, and development of Card Services personnel.
  • Provide leadership and subject matter expertise on projects related to Card Services.
  • Work closely with Reconciliation Specialist and Accounts Payable to ensure timely handling of billing and quickly resolve discrepancies. 
  • Manage back-office implementation and roll-out process for new card products and product enhancements.
  • Provide monthly statistical reports related to card services risk management performance.
  • Identify and make recommendations for improvements in product and process workflows.
  • Coordinate and complete special projects as assigned. 
  • Maintain card risk and controls assessment. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS (EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS):

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent / Bachelor's degree (B. A.) or equivalent from four-year College or technical school. 
  • 1-2 years of related card services experience and/or training.  Work related experience must consist of card services managing and processing.
  • Ability to make appropriate judgments and decisions with limited guidance.
  • Knowledge of Consumer Credit Cards, Commercial Credit Cards and Debit Cards products and services; related state and federal laws and regulations, and other Bank operational policies and procedures.
  • Knowledge of FIS Horizon and associated products, a plus.
  • Organizational and time management skills with the ability to multitask in a high-stress environment.
  • Accounting fundamentals that include accounts payable and/or general ledger experience.
  • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions, interpret documents, understand procedures, complete and speak clearly to customers and other bank personnel.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and instill trust within the organization.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to multi task is essential.
