We are looking for Director of Sales to grow Ardon Health. The Director of Sales is responsible for the strategic direction of the achievement of sales goals and key objectives and for the sales team.

The Director of Sales leads and motivates the team to increase specialty pharmacy revenue/margin and ensure the achievement of sales goals. The director analyzes and interprets sales data, evaluates current business, identifies new sales opportunities, develops strategy, develops target/ prescriber reports, develops business plans, and executes the plan.

The Director of Sales is expected to develop and execute a territory sales plan, develop sales targets, close sales, coordinate sales efforts with strategic manufacturing and distribution partners, support the needs of the medical practice clients, and participate in company sales planning, meetings, and reporting as its relates to specialty medications and therapy management.

Primary Functions:
01.    Develops and implements territory business plans, focusing on performance and execution impacts that properly identify and prioritize activities to accomplish goals.
02.    Interfaces with consultant, brokers, employers, and other health care payers to identify opportunities to provide Ardon specialty pharmacy services.
03.    Researches and identifies sales targets.
04.    Employs consultative sales process, probes for customer information and barriers.
05.    Develops creative solutions to gain profitable business.
06.    Creates relationships with manufacturers.
07.    Closes sales.
08.    Serves needs of medical practice accounts and solves issues.
09.    Leads, motivates, and coaches other sales associates to achieve sales goals. Drives accountability at territory level .
10.    Develops regional strategy and plans of action for the following therapeutic areas: oncology, multiple sclerosis, hepatitis c, growth disorders, autoimmune, and other applicable categories.
11.    Recruits, interviews, and hires top sales talent.
12.    Trains and develops talent. 
13.    Leads team through change.
14.    Collaborates with pharmacy Operations team to ensure superior customer service.
15.    Analyzes and summarizes data and trends.
16.    Routinely communicates with centralized marketing team regarding resources, competitive activity, etc.
17.    Interfaces with pharmaceutical manufacturers to highlight Ardon’s service excellence.
18.    Effectively manages and forecasts budget.
19.    Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
20.    Maintains accurate records of all sales activities.
21.    Builds business relationships with healthcare professionals 
22.    Protects the organization's value by protecting confidential and proprietary information.
23.    Demonstrates ability to effectively interact and cooperate with all company employees.
24.    Builds trust, values others, communicates effectively, drives execution, fosters innovation, focuses on the customer, collaborates with others, solves problems creatively, and demonstrates high integrity.
25.    Complies with all company and government policies, regulations and business ethics codes and ensures they are communicated and implemented within the team.
26.    Achieves and exceeds sales objectives.
27.    Acts as the single point of contact for customers and designated outside counterpart(s).
28.    Develops and maintains productive and effective relationships with physicians, nurses, office managers, and other applicable customers.
29.    Demonstrates an understanding of the disease state(s), competitors, healthcare industry trends, etc.
30.    Represents the company at relevant conferences and expositions as determined by leadership.
31.    Represents the company in a positive and supportive manner at all times.
32.    Runs, utilizes and maintains expense reports.
33.    Responsible for daily tracking of accounts and development of CRM.
34.    Prioritizes prospects within territory to maximize sales opportunities and exceed pre-defined sales targets.
35.    Determines the best utilization of available resources to maximize revenue potential.
36.    Follows up and qualifies leads, creates, and delivers informational presentations and works to increase pharmacy utilization.
37.    Promotes and markets the Ardon specialty pharmacy services through health fairs, conferences, community events, and local media outlets.
38.    Describes pharmacy services to potential clients.
39.    Coordinates educational activities, business opportunities, and sales leads with pharmaceutical representatives.
40.    Maintains confidentiality and adheres to all company procedures and policies.
41.    Acts as the primary liaison between patients, prescribers, health systems, case management agencies, various local governmental agencies, and the pharmacy operations staff.
42.    Works with all stakeholders to establish service expectations.
43.    Maintains consistent contact with all parties to expand business and to keep abreast of and resolve current issues, as well as resolve potential issues.
44.    Forwards questions to the appropriate staff member(s).
45.    Streamlines the pharmacist‐physician-patient relationship by facilitating refill requests and other communications between the pharmacy, prescriber, and patient, as needed.
46.    Actively participates and provides support as needed to leadership and quality program staff to ensure activities related to the company’s quality management program and quality improvement activities maintain priority focus and are effectively executed. This may include but is not limited to activities that promote objective and systematic measurement, monitoring, and evaluation of services and defined Quality Improvement Projects (QIPs) that may result from such efforts.
47.    Complies with the company’s Human Resources policies, Employee Handbook, Code of Conduct, and all department policies and procedures, including protecting confidential company, employee, and customer information; attending work punctually and regularly; and adhering to good safety practices in all activities.
48.    Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

 

Required Skills:
01.    Bachelor’s degree in business, healthcare, sales, marketing, or related field is preferred 
02.    5+ years' experience in healthcare related sales and a minimum of 3 years in sales leadership is required
03.    Experience selling pharmaceuticals is strongly preferred 
04.    Experience selling specialty pharmaceuticals or end-to-end specialty pharmacy services highly desirable. 
05.    Experience selling into physicians’ offices highly desirable 
06.    Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required 
07.    Strong communication and follow-up skills 
08.    Proven history of driving sales results and achieving goals 
09.    Experience in effectively collaborating with internal and external stakeholders 
10.    Proven success in a dynamic, fast-paced environment 
11.    Proven track record of achieving results, building relationships, customer focus, and promoting sales and marketing programs.
12.    Willingness to travel a minimum of 60%
13.    MBA or professional healthcare degree is desired
14.    Experience in specialty pharmacy, medical device, infusion, medical supplies, or related industry strongly preferred
15.    Sense of autonomy and independence is highly preferred 
16.    Ability to set quarterly and annual goals
17.    Ability to work occasional evenings and attend weekend events as required to accomplish the responsibilities of the position.
18.    Ideal candidates will be located near a major airport on the West Coast of the United States.
19.    Must possess a valid and current driver's license.
