Job Description

Our client is a leading provider of technology solutions and payment processing services primarily for the financial services industry. They are seeking 2 Senior Network Engineers to join their growing team! The Senior Network Engineer provides required tasks to successfully install datacenter networks. A typical day will consist of deploying and configuring network technologies, diagnosing/troubleshooting network problems, maintaining legacy network and work in collaboration with internal teams to design solutions.

The selected candidates will join a team of very experienced and deeply knowledgeable professionals. The work environment is collaborative and we enjoy an easy going environment while supporting the strategic goals of the business.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum 4 years of experience in network engineering.
• Must have experience with Cisco IOS.
• Must have Cisco CCENT Certification.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Associates Degree or equivalent certification(s).
• Experience with Cisco IOS, BGP and DMVPN.
• Excellent communication and customer interaction skills.
• Strong project management skills.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Installs current network operating system on new or existing devices and/or installs communication equipment including routers, switches and firewalls.
• Installs software on networking devices.
• Provides phone support to employees or customers relative to networking technology.
• Analyzes network topologies to determine potential issues and makes suggestions for recommended changes.
• Creates network assessments and certifications.
• Assists and mentors less experienced peers.
• Engineer network solutions for data center environments.
• Troubleshoot communications issues collaboratively with other teams in a complex data center environment.
• Meet with internal business units and stakeholders to gather business requirements to design new network topologies.
• Analyzes network topologies to determine potential issues and makes suggestions for recommended changes.
• Acts as an escalation resource for junior engineers, providing guidance, direction, and mentoring.
• Work closely with Project Managers to determine project deliverables, tasks, and timelines.
• Participate in an on-call rotation, as appropriate.
