Talent Orchard LLC, a Woman Owned Small Business with 8a designation has been contracted by a large defense contractor in their search for a Quality Control Analyst.

This position is responsible for coordinating the design and content of new IT processes and reengineering of existing processes. Additionally, the position may be responsible for implementing, managing and improvement of specific IT processes as well as provide assistance at conducting Quality Assurance audits and reviews.  As a part of a cross-functional team, the Quality Control Analyst will also be responsible for backing up other members of the team to support Incident, Problem, Change, Release, Asset and Configuration management responsibilities.  

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Performs technical writing and facilitates development of process flows, process guidelines, process activities, and documenting any use of process-related tools.
  • Will acquire input from a variety of process subject matter experts and lead meetings of those SMEs to capture process requirements, process flow input, and establish agreed process guidelines.
  • Manages information collection from many sources and maintains control of information in an organized manner.
  • Authors process documents and aid Process Owners with improvements to existing Plans, Processes, and Work Procedures.
  • Uses quality models such as IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) to aid process design.
  • May work closely with SMEs in Service Management/Delivery, IT Operations, Project Management, etc.
  • Oversees process content development during authoring, review and approval cycles; engages the appropriate SMEs including Management in necessary content reviews; manages received review input to ensure stakeholder input is appropriately addressed.
  • May participate in the identification and evaluation of process-related measures and process improvement opportunities.
  • Contributes to process related project plans, schedules, and deadlines. and shall understand and have experience in the following
  • Maintains alignment with Incident/Problem, Change/Release and Asset Management functions
  • Take part in other ITSM processes, or as required perform as a back up to maintain operational activities
  • Demonstrated excellent interpersonal communications and complex problem solving Advanced written and verbal communications skills including the ability to develop presentations and present to senior management

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required and two (2) years or more of related experience
  • Minimum 1 year of Operations experience in a 24x7x365 environment required
  • Understanding of process development principles
  • Able to create process flow diagrams based upon information provided by process owners and stakeholders
  • Able to drive the definition of process guidelines based upon stakeholder requirements and process goals
  • Experience working in cross- functional, multi-location teams.
  • Ability to establish a solid working relationship with Service Delivery Managers, IT Technical Subject Matter Experts, and technical staff

  • Organized and detailed documentation skills
  • ITIL® Foundation Level or higher Certification
