Modeling/Sim Engineer Associate

McLean, VA

Talent Orchard LLC, a Woman Owned Small Business with 8a designation has been contracted by a large defense contractor in their search for a Modeling and Simulation Engineer for Missile Defense Simulations.

Description of Duties:

• Candidate will be expected to support the customer in a fast paced environment with simulation-driven assessments and products.
• He/She will participate on multidisciplinary study teams and perform the following activities: study planning; model setup and execution; data extraction and analysis. He/She will develop scientific simulations and data processing tools.

Required Skills/Experience/Abilities

• Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college/university in engineering, physical science, computer science, operations research, mathematics, or other STEM fields is required.
• US Citizenship is required
• Familiarity with computer programming
• A programming background with MATLAB, C++ or Fortran would be a plus.
• Knowledge of Linux/Unix commands would be helpful.
• Knowledge/course work of radar, signal processing, control theory, and/or optics
• Knowledge of physics, random variables, and Monte Carlo theory

Security Clearance Requirements: Ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance is required.
