Contracts Support III

Oak Ridge, TN

Talent Orchard LLC, a Woman Owned Small Business with 8a designation has been contracted by a large defense contractor in their search for a Contracts Support III.

Description of Duties:

• Prepares contracts for closeout and/or set up in Contracts System.
• Reviews prime contract to ensure clauses are appropriately captured in contract system and loads contract award and modification documents into contracts database.
• Works with stakeholders, contracts reps and subcontracts adminsitrators/managers to ensure all required closeout documentation is submitted and included in final package.
• Researches missing documents and accesses multiple systems to locate closeout documents.
• Works with subcontractors for deobligating funds and submits subcontract modifications for deobligation.
• Full knowledge of the job.
• Complete acquaintance with and understanding of the general and detailed aspects of the job and their practical applications to problems and situations ordinarily encountered.

Supervision Received: Limited supervision. No instructions needed on routine work, and general instructions given on new lines of work or special assignments.

IMPACT: Errors may be difficult to detect and would normally result in loss of time or expense to correct.

LIASON: Contacts are frequent with individuals representing other departments, and/or representing outside organizations. Contacts involve obtaining or providing information or data on matters of moderate importance to the function of the department or which may be a sensitive nature.

Qualifications

• High School and five (5) years or more related experience.
• Knowledge of government contracting a plus.
• Extreme attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Excel.
