AFF is seeking a creative Warehouse Operations Analyst to help keep freight moving smoothly in and out of our Carson warehouse by working with the management team to identify processes and procedures that improve operational efficiency, increase the flow of freight, and lower operational costs. The successful candidate will perform analysis of floor operations, trainings, processes, and any other key areas identified by management. The Warehouse Operations Analyst will be responsible for delivering the results of KPI’s of floor operations. This position includes both reoccurring and one-off projects as assigned by management. This role provides the successful candidate with an opportunity to grow within the company with the ability to transfer laterally internally with a career track towards joining the management team. Job Duties: • The Warehouse Operations Analyst’s schedule to be assigned by VP of Operations • Prepare analysis and reports for key processes and procedures by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data that identify areas for operational improvement • Identify areas needing process improvement through data analysis, market/industry research, and strategic thinking to make recommendations for changes in key activities • Provide a comprehensive review of operational reports regarding warehouse staff (regular & temporary) work hours, trainings, load efficiency, etc. • Create, review, and update process documentation and flow of floor operations • Build and maintain models for recording and forecasting operational costs, time, and efficiency • Work closely with management to identify cost-saving opportunities • Collaborate with other AFF locations to ensure that improvements and best practices are uniformly adopted where possible • Gain understanding and proficiency in TruckMate to maximize its use and benefits across the organization • Maintain high levels of accuracy in daily operations • Assist the floor manager with monitoring yard and warehouse safety and security practices: Ensure pin locks are secured to trailers and K-Rails are being used, assist monitoring inbound and outbound traffic, assist in terminal inspections as per the monthly audit checklist, assist with daily equipment inspections, incident reporting, and anything else assigned by the supervisor • Assist in inspecting containers for proper sealing • Assist in supervising the refrigerated team to ensure temperature control and proper handling • Ensures the quality and expediency of work performed • Report to the VP of Operations as an “eyes & ears” liaison twice every week to communicate key performance indicators of the warehouse operations • Complete various additional tasks and projects as assigned by management
