Career Evolutions is seeking a DatabaseArchitect for an exciting and growing international technology company in Phoenix, AZ. This is an excellent Contract-to-Hire opportunity with a compensation up to $50 per hour.

Typical Duties Will Include:
Oversee the ways in which data will be used by various applications and databases.
Be directly responsible for the definition of data dictionaries
Troubleshoot and resolve problems with data migration as needed
Design, create, and implement relational databases
Create strategies dealing with data acquisition, data recovery, and implementation of databases
Work with application developers to create distributed databases, offering feedback and support as needed
Oversee the administration of databases and their related services, working closely with the infrastructure team to ensure the proper protocols are followed
Requirements:
Bachelor of Science in Information Systems, Computer Science; Or 5+ years of professional experience working with and managing sophisticated systems and databases
In-depth knowledge of SQL and other relational databases
A strong familiarity of data modeling and data structures for high-throughput and scalability
A thorough understanding of various Relation Database Management Systems as well as with big data solutions
Ability to write complex queries with a working history of various querying languages and query performance tuning
Familiarity with the Agile method
Experience with Disaster Recovery tools and methods
